I have wagered on millions of rounds of chemin de fer. I started working my way into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have bet on online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of funds at chemin de fer. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the game.

I still enjoy the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over the years I have bet on a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get flush with this method or defeat the house, however you will have a lot of fun. This method is founded on the idea that chemin de fer appears to be a match of streaks. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I play basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Whenever I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the bet back down to the original sum.

I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely fun at times. If you succeed at a few hands in series your bets go up very quick. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Paris a number of years back with $750 after 60 mins using this tactic! And a few weeks ago in Atlantic City I left a table with $1200!

You must understand that you can say good-bye to much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be aghast at the runs you see playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a 5 dollar table.

Bet five dollar
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the first five dollar wager

Bet $5
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of $10

Wager 10 dollar
Take $10 paid to you, leave the initial 10 dollar bet

Bet 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 20 dollar

Wager twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the initial twenty dollar wager

Wager $20
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of forty dollar

Wager 40 dollar
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial forty dollar wager

Bet 40 dollar
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar

Wager 80 dollar
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $80 wager

Bet 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total wager of $160

Bet $160
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 160 dollar bet

If you departed at this instance you would be up 315 dollar !!

It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can’t alter and lower your bet or the final result will not be the same.
